The ticket system for train travel between Kalmar and Växjö continues also in 2018. The new travel card (your ticket) is valid in economy class during the period January 1–December 31, 2018.
You collect your preprinted travel card either at your faculty office or at Infocenter. You should then write your name and personal identity number on the card before having it signed and stamped by your immediate supervisor.
Note! The travel card is valid as a ticket also when the train ride is longer than to/from Växjö.
Limited validity for the travel card
As always, the travel card is not valid on Saturdays, Sundays or public holidays. It is valid for economy class without seat reservation and only together with valid ID.
If you travel with an invalid travel card or with the university’s travel card on a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday you will be fined SEK 1,000 or be asked to get off at the next station.
First-time users must sign a certificate of assurance
If you are collecting your travel card for the first time, you must sign a “Certificate of assurance” which you should then hand in to your human resources consultant.
