A learning platform (or LMS: Learning Management System) like MyMoodle is a hub where a course’s administration, communication, teaching material, and examination can be gathered and coordinated.
Why a learning platform?
By logging into the learning platform students and teachers can access the same information wherever they are. A major advantage of using MyMoodle for all course communication is that everyone sees all the questions and answers and you avoid repetitive e-mail exchanges on the same topics. Teachers have great freedom to adapt the functions and structure of each course room in MyMoodle to suit the needs of each course. As from the autumn semester of 2013, MyMoodle is the common learning platform at Linnaeus University, in accordance with a rector's decision in November 2011 (Read more about the rector's decision on LMS here). Moodle is the world's leading learning platform with around 75,000 registered installations and approximately 65 million users. Linnaeus University is now part of this global community of Moodle users, together with some of the leading universities in the world.
