Open Networked Learning (ONL201) will run during spring 2020 (24 February - 15 May).
During the course you will work with the following:
- How to create collaborative and flexible learning environments online
- Test problem-based learning in open online platforms
- Develop your professional learning network
- Test a range of digital tools and methods in a pedagogical context
- Learn about the latest reseach and new trends in the field
- Work in international online teams
The course is for teaching staff, course developers and educational technologists in higher education. It offers you the opportunity to explore and test collaborative learning in an open (public) online environment with colleagues from different universities, disciplines and cultures (both nationally and internationally).
ONL201 is offered by Linnaeus University in collaboration with Karolinska Institutet, Lund University, Stockholm University, Linköping University, Karlstad university, Mälardalen university, Arcada University of Applied Sciences (Finland), Aalto university (Finland), University of Oldenburg (Germany), Educor (South Africa), Independent Institute of Education (South Africa), National University of Singapore and Zurich University of Applied Sciences (Switzerland).
- Face-to-face introduction meeting in Kalmar and/or Växjö
- The course is otherwise completely online with weekly synchronous meetings in your study group
- Duration: approx. 80 hours.
You should first check with your manager so that these hours can be considered as competence development. You should also make sure you can devote the necessary hours for study each week.

In the course Open Networked Learning (ONL) you will use other tools and platforms for collaboration, creation, and blogging, eg Google+, Google Drive, WordPress. The accounts for these tools can even be used after the course is over and are an essential part of the course. These accounts should be seen as private. You may, if you wish, name these accounts with only your first name or nickname so that they are not directly attributable to you. You are personally responsible for these accounts and the content you create with them. If you wish you are free to delete these accounts at the end of the course.
